Triangle Bible Institute (TBI) is an adult Christian college which began as a pilot institution in 1993.  It soon flourished into an accredited institution, authorized by the State of Virginia to confer degrees from the associate to the post-graduate degree levels.  Special attention is given to the academic and developmental needs of ministerial lay leaders, Sunday school teachers, Christian workers, and adults of all ages.  An independent Study program is available to help meet the varying schedules of working adults.  In addition, to serve the southwestern corridor of Prince William County, a satellite TBI campus is located at Free Union Baptist Church in Culpeper, VA.

Purpose - The purpose of Triangle Bible Institute is to teach Christian men and women the Bible, equip them with a general education and experience necessary to serve the church and contribute as professionals to a multi-ethnic society.  TBI aims, then, to meet the demands of Christian training in the local communities and churches.  Its plan is that Christians will gladly grasp the concept that 'we can make a difference' and will bring new energies and creativity to the resolution of spiritual, social, and other day-to-day problems.

Goals -

• Application of Biblical Truth - To promote a thorough knowledge of the Bible, theology, and the skills related to the acquisition of spiritual truth, which will aid in the development of a world view that enhances all areas of life and provides the basis for service.
• Academic Excellence - To foster a learning community that encourages academic and intellectual proficiency through knowledge acquisition, critical thinking, informed discussion, personal research, with the goal of developing life-long learners.
• Spiritual Development - To encourage spiritual formation among the members of the community so that the relationship individuals pursue with Christ may be reflected in godly character, attitude, and service.
• Relational Development - To encourage supportive relationships within a diverse community and to serve as a model for building relationships om a constantly changing world.
• Preparation for Service - To develop among students, faculty, and staff an attitude of and competency for particular services that demonstrate the love of Christ to the global community.

Accreditation - TBI was approved by the State of Virginia of Higher Education in 1998 and provides religious education in compliance with provisions of 8, VAC 40-30-50.  The school is registered with the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber, Better Business Bureau of Central Virginia, Inc., and is accredited by the World-Wide Accrediting Commission of Christian Educational Institutions.  Other accreditation agencies are being reviewed.

Location - TBI is located in the southeastern corner of Prince William County and is part of the Northern Virginia metropolitan area of Washington, DC.  The school, which sits in the midst of historic Triangle, VA, is located 35 mines south of Washington, DC, and is less than 1-1/2 miles east of Interstate 95 at the Triangle/Quantico exit (150 and 150-A).  The office is located in the Inspiration House Day Care building across from Star Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.  There is easy access to Dumfries, Woodbridge, Springfield, Alexandria, Washington, DC, Manassas City, Manassas Park, Stafford, and Fredericksburg.
